🍎 Let's Talk Horse Nutrition!

Have you ever wondered what horses eat or why some horses have different diets? Join us for our November Homeschool Horse Club as we explore the fascinating world of horse nutrition, feeding, and healthy horse care!

During this hands-on educational experience, students will discover what goes into keeping our horses happy and healthy, from hay and grain to fresh water and tasty treats!

🌾 What Will We Learn?

This month's club will focus on:

• Hay & Grass: Why forage is the most important part of a horse's diet.

• Grain & Feed: What's inside a horse's feed bucket, and why different horses have different nutritional needs.

• Water: Why fresh, clean water is essential for healthy horses.

• Horse Treats: Which snacks are safe for horses and which foods should be avoided.

• Supplements: How certain supplements can support a horse's health.

• Healthy Horses: How proper nutrition helps horses grow, stay active, and maintain a healthy weight.

🪣 Hands-On Horse Club Fun!

Learning is always more exciting when we get to experience it firsthand!

During our November meeting, students will have the opportunity to:

• Explore and identify different types of horse feed.

• Participate in our Build a Horse's Feed Bucket activity.

• Play our fun Horse Nutrition Detective game.

• Meet some of our GRA horses and learn about their individual feeding routines.

• Participate in a supervised horse-feeding demonstration.

• Earn another sticker for their Homeschool Horse Club Passport!

🐴 Who Can Join?

Our Homeschool Horse Club is perfect for children ages 5–12 who love horses, enjoy learning, and want to experience life around the barn!

No previous horse experience is necessary!

Each month's meeting features a different educational topic, so students can join us for one meeting or return throughout the year to continue building their horse knowledge.

Please note: Homeschool Horse Club focuses on hands-on horse education and horsemanship rather than riding lessons.

👢 What Should Students Bring?

• Closed-toe shoes or boots suitable for the barn (no sandals).

• Comfortable clothing that can get a little dirty.

• A water bottle.

• Their Homeschool Horse Club Passport, if they have attended a previous meeting.

📅 Reserve Your Spot!

Our Homeschool Horse Club is limited to just 10 students per meeting to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in our hands-on activities and spend time learning around the horses.

Registration and payment are required in advance to reserve your child's spot.

We can't wait to welcome our young horse enthusiasts back to the barn for another afternoon of learning, laughter, and horses!

Come discover what it takes to feed and care for our four-legged friends at Georgetown Riding Academy! 🐴❤️
